Moon Champion

New Perspective

The Moon God is always trying to make her realm a better place. She cares deeply for the Moonlings and wants to protect this realm to make up for the loss she expressed in the past. She has a heighten awareness of everything that happens on the Moon, she chooses a champion based on someone who has had an epiphany who has released a new perspective on something. Sometimes she will choose a champion outside her realm; this is very rare but has been spotted. 

Documentation

The main duty of the moon champion is documentation, they are meant to keep track of things around the moon and even outside of it keeping a log of what events are happening so that the people of the moon have a better idea of the conflicts down below and whether or not its safe to venture out there.

Relationship With Moon

Moonlings of course love the Moon God; they tend to worship her greatly and respect her. Luna Nova is seen as a tragedy by most people they feel for her and tend to relate to her when going through their own sadness, some Gods and people consider that weak. Brightstar has the most strained relationship with her, under the rule of her brother who chooses not to speak to her and belittle her feelings. As the Moon Champion you don’t see much of the Moon God, no one really does; you are able to give up the mark at any time.

Playing Moon Champion

Moon Champions tend to make great mages, and observers. They have a variety of abilities to find or hide, making them great ranged fighters or Stealth assailants. Moon Champions tend to have high Arcana, Perception and Stealth. How do you see your Moon Champion?

Moon Mark

When you first become the Moon Champion the Moon Mark is placed on the back of your right hand. As the Moon Champion you gain a plus 5 to your base range when paired with Eagle Eye it becomes a 10. Moon Champions can’t have the heavily obscured condition. Depending if your Moon sign is a Fox or a Hare will determine your starting ability and a special add to your passive. 

Fox: You Gain Gibbous Moon, as well you can always see invisible entities within your range.  

Hare: You Gain New Moon and can use it on yourself for free.

Moon Lore

Her Tears

Luna Nova is the God of Perception, Girth and of course, the Moon. Her abilities are ones about finding and hiding, no God is omnipresent though some like to act like they are the Moon God has the ability to see long distances and hide from any who might try to look back having a mastery over illusions. Her title of Girth comes from the fact she is known as the Crying God. When her sibling Steller Nova died she ran away leaving her brother Solar Nova and making a new realm which is now called the Moon. The Moon is a very strange realm, Luna Nova has so many powers running through it that it can be seen from every other realm during the night changing in phases making it impossible for mortals or other Gods to find it. 

Lost Kin

Luna Nova was one of the three immortals that ruled over the Humans kingdom before the war of Darkness. Along with Solar Nova & Steller Nova, when the war broke out the kingdom was targeted and destroyed; humans were thrown to the wind away from the three immortals who promised to protect them. This was just the start, her brother Stellar Nova was killed during the war. This caused a tear in her relationship with SolarNova so she took the little land she still had from the old kingdom and the few humans still around taking them somewhere she believed she could protect them. Space she made her own realm, away from all the others and to make sure

Fox & Rabbit

Luna Nova has two pets, powerful deities she keeps around that forever play with one another the Fox & the Rabbit. The fox hunts and the Rabbit hides, Moonlings have a culture built around these two demi-gods. If you are born when the moon is bright, you are a fox more dominate personality, extraverted and outgoing. If you’re born when the moon is dark, you are a rabbit more sensitive okay with being alone. If you’re born off the moon it goes by the phases Full & Waxing are foxes. New & Wanning are Rabbits.
