A towering, perfectly carved statue, of a warrior, the last fossil of a long gone society.

Terrartem

Earth Champion

His Muse

To become the Earth Champion you must inspire the Earth God; he is an artist and he will choose champions that inspire his art. Inspiring his art can come in many different ways, being an artist yourself, having an inspirational story, etc. Anything can be made into art, prove to him why you should be.

The Floating Continent

Haven is a continent that floats above the realm and was ripped from known now as the Waste. People live on both Haven and down below. The Earth Champion is meant to protect Haven, and many venture out and lend their services to help others as well. The relationship between Haven and the Waste is messy at best. As the Earth Champion you have a lot of control over how much Haven helps the people down below.

Relationship With Earth

The Earth God has a personal relationship with his champions and might even request them to come pose for him depending on the work he is doing. He will make a lot of art of you that he keeps in his temple. To the dismay of any temple thieves, Terrarten temples are more filled with art than any magical items. You can give up the Earth Mark at any time; sometimes if another sparks more creativity from the Earth God, he will even have you replaced.

Playing an Earth Champion

Earth champions have a variety of area control powers, being able to mould stone, they also have a variety of self damaging negation powers allowing them to take up a strong tank like roll. Endurance, Diplomacy & Athletics are all good skills for making an Earth champion. But how will yours be? Earth champions are about creativity after all.

Earth Lore

The Artist

Terrartem is known as the God of Art, Earth & Patients. He received the title God of Art because the Earth God is fond of statues, poetry and paintings. Once a great warrior who fought vigilantly during the War of Darkness, once it ended Terrartem took up art in his spare time. The title of God of Earth comes from his appearance and ability to control the inorganic substances of the land. He has the power to lift continents and level mountains.

The One who Waited

Terrartem was created long before the War of Darkness by a powerful mortal mage; he says this mortal was not of any species he has seen since the war. He was made as a golem to protect the village of the mage and he did just that, going out to the border of the village and fighting anything that would dare enter. He fought and fought and every now and again the mage would visit him. He was fascinated by the mage's ability to mold Earth. He loved the mage in a familiar sense he didn’t understand yet and wanted to make the mage into something. He practised whenever he had the chance; once he felt he was skilled enough to make art he spent all his time on that. Many years passed before he made something he felt the mage would like. He called it art as a part of his name. He went back to the town and time had been its final killer, no beast. He never found the mage. Terrartem was never able to achieve what the mage was, being able to give intelligence to stone, though he does see Geodes as his children he doesn't put it past the mage that made him to be able to have saved all those people by putting them into rocks.

The Killing Hunger

To some, Earth God is a savior. During the end of the War of Darkness a being known as the Beast ravaged the realm, devouring all life from this once beautiful realm. Terrartem thought of the Beast pulling the content now known as Haven out of the realm and into the atmosphere, the Beast falling into the hole that it created to be lost. The Realm is now referred to as the Wasteland and the hole is known as the Maw. Mortals still live down in the Wasteland and around the Maw. There is a big divide between the people of Haven and the people of the Wasteland.
