Kill The Ocean
The water gods now were not the ones to sign the contract at the end of the war of darkness, for awhile it was one being The Kraken who ruled over the water of every realm. This terrify beasts made it hard for anyone to travel if they did not worship him, and had a tentacle pushed down on merfolk society. It was the help of the new Water Gods that this Kraken was killed and defeated and they were able to sign the contract. Each of the Water gods has signed the contract separately and counts as their own god, but they tend to get grouped together.
