Sun Champion

Bearer of Crown & Mark

To become the Sun Champion you must be related to Solar Nova and in line for the throne of Brightstar. During coronation to become King is when the mark is given, the term king is used regardless of gender and queen is used for whoever marries the king regardless of gender. 

Any nobel family related to Solar Nova can compete for the Throne. Doing so requires you to do an act of good for your kingdom or the world. You pitch your act of good to Solar Nova and he lends the Mark out to you to do so, whoever is most successful becomes the next King. Of course if no one challenges you, you just get the throne. Also it's considered disrespectful to try and take the throne from the child of a King that passed. 

The Lion 

The Sun God has a loyal Lion, who has been beside him for years, this beast looking like a suit of armour with a flaming golden main. An established Sun champion has the responsibility of watching over the kingdom of Brightstar. The king may choose another to have the Mark of the Lion God, this person tends to be close with the King and is considered the greatest warrior in Brightstar, gaining the benefits of the Sun Mark. 

Duty to the Throne

The prime responsibility of the Sun Champion is the lead the Kingdom of Brightstar and protect all the people within. One Kingdom, One God under the Sun. This does mean leaving the Kingdom a lot, having relationships with other world leaders and fighting the good fight.  “I shall protect all who’s the suns light bears down on”

Sun Mark

When you first become the Sun Champion you gain the Sun Mark on the back of your left hand. You gain the Sun Infusion power for free. While the Sun is shining down on you, all your abilities cost half the amount, no less than one. If the Sun is covered your ability cost is normal.

Son of the Sun

The Sun God is the child of the Sun itself, it is believed that Solar Nova was created by the Sun who wished to be mortal and touch the world with hands that it shines down on. While his ‘sister’ the Moon God is the creator of the Moon. All realms go around the Sun around rings, this reason has been used for all realms to join Brightstar, but the idea was put to a stop long ago.

Relations

One Kingdom, One God, Under the Sun. Sun God is the first king, once of the main human settlement before the war of darkness, then of brighterstart, his own son, Miduis, gave up godhood so his descendants could continue to rule over the kingdom. Solar Nova expectes to be treated like a king from the people within his Domion and treated like an elder family member by those of the royal family. He will often give advice to his champions, but will not force them one way or another.  He has a neutral relationship with many of the other gods in Dial, seeing them as beneath them. He is allowing of his people to worship Plant & Animal as farming is a big part of the Kingdom of Brightstar. He views Fungis as a mindless creature that shouldn’t have the title of the God hood and despises Eclipse. He has  a estranged relationship with his sister, Lunar Nova, after the lost of their brother the two don’t speak to one another anymore. 

Dominion

Solar Nova can be found on top of a mountain that pierces the clouds, he sits on a throne with his Lion by his side. Sunny weather tends to be what is common where he lives, the grass is golden. Mortals living around him will tend to gain golden features, eyes & hair as well tend to be tanned. The creatures his light creates tend to take a more armour like appearance and can tend to fly. Think living armour these creatures are more rare commonly you can find Griffins and a lot of other Lion mixed animals around Dominion
