You protect someone within range, if they haven’t attacked this round they can’t be the target of an attack. The ability ends if the person affected with Pacifist does any attack roll. Additionally if someone with Pacifist is hit for their threshold of damage the caster of Pacifist rolls their casting modifier against 10 + 1/10 of the damage that was taken rounded down.
