Angels are an elegant species of godly  warriors. They live in their own realm, smaller than others but home to the Athear God and Light God herself, Celestion.

Angels

  Porcelain Warriors

Angels' creation can be striking to others; their bodies are made of organic flesh born from a core. This form is horrifyingly beautiful, a marvel of creation, but it is covered by a shell. The shell gives them a humanoid appearance. Shells start pure white, but as an angel ages and they explore the world, more colour is added to the shell, ranging from natural skin tones to unworldly hues. The height of an angel ranges, even extending past seven feet depending on the core's growth. All angels have hair in varying textures, and horns that loop around as halos. When broken, horns tend to come back sharp and rigged. Growing from their back, a pair of feathered wings unique to each warrior. Angels can be modified after creation. Additional eyes, wings, horns, or weapons can be built into their bodies. Angels are modified based on their purpose and what god they are being made for.

Programed Duty

Angels, once formed, are programmed;  knowledge is placed into them so they are fully mature, both physically and mentally. You may ask, why are angels programmed to have free will? Not allowing them to have free will has been found to make weak warriors. All angels must be able to react to the world around them, even if that ends with them deciding they don’t want to continue with their purpose. Although frowned upon, angels can leave their station and find themselves, but an angel is never made just to live. If there is an event on the go that requires angels to return to their station, they will be forced back no matter what. Even if the angel has to be killed, its shell and core can be used to make a new angel.

Culture on the Isles

Angels don’t reproduce. Cores are made of light and magic in a ritual that is kept secret by elder angels. Angels aren’t taught concepts of gender that other more organic species use, and tend to use they/them as pronouns. Elder angels are allowed to speak directly with Athear, but no angel speaks to Celestion herself. Angels decided what gods might be in need of angels, which means a lot of angels have a close relationship to a specific god. You can tell an elder angel based on how colourful their body is and how many upgrades they have, with some even having multiple faces to appear more god-like. Angels age their core and can only stay constantly active for about 50 years before having to revert. They don’t care about death, but are still respected for their work. Strongholds, prisons and temples created by gods tend to include statues dedicated to angels who died during that building’s construction. When an angel dies, it’s important to collect its core so it can be recycled.

Angels as Champions

Angels are rarely champions; even the Sky God will hardly ever choose them, as they are just meant to be warriors. If an angel is chosen, clearly they are wanted by a god for a purpose greater than the one they currently have.

Angel’s Body

Angels have organic wings with feathers that allow them to fly and glide. Sometimes an angel’s wings come out small, which still allows them to glide, but not fly. With wings, you can use your movement to fly.

Angels can have weapons built into their armoured bodies, which gives their weapons the body property for free
